Our Story

The Glamorous Grub was founded in February 2014 as a one-stop “little horse lovers” shop, after I spent hours trying to find cute horsey clothes for my then two-year-old, horse-crazy child.

As that little horse-loving girl grew, her love of horses only deepened, and so did our range of products for fellow horse lovers. What began as a small idea grew alongside her, shaped by ponies, passion, and a whole lot of heart.

Along that journey, life took a challenging turn and we had to close our doors for a time. It was during this period that I became deeply aware of bullying. I saw just how widespread it is, the many forms it can take, and the lasting damage it can leave behind.

If there was one thing I wanted to change in this world, it was this:
no person should ever be made to feel they are not enough.

Fast forward to now, and that little horse-mad girl is a teenager.
And guess what… still more horse crazy than ever.

She has been incredibly lucky to have ponies of her own. One sweet little red mare in particular became a constant source of comfort, strength, and calm. During some very tough years, that pony helped her survive in ways words can’t quite capture. Her love of horses gave her the very best friend she could have wished for at exactly the time she needed it most.

There is something about loving horses that can take you to another place, one where everything feels lighter, where your strength quietly renews, and you find the courage to face another day.

And so, The Glamorous Grub became much more than a horse lovers shop.

It became a place where horse lovers can browse a unique world of horsiness wrapped in kindness, hope, and inspiration. A place to find thoughtful gifts for the horse-mad people in your life, or perhaps for yourself, knowing they’ll bring genuine smiles and quiet reminders that you are valued, capable, and worthy.

We believe in chasing dreams.
We believe in empowering people to believe in themselves.
And we believe in standing up against bullying by choosing kindness, encouragement, and compassion wherever we can.

The Glamorous Grub is owned and run by a mother-daughter team in regional Victoria, Australia. Everything we do is shaped by lived experience, love of horses, and a strong belief that small acts of kindness can make a very real difference.
